I'm thinking of using it as a RS feeder.
Can you schedule repeated payments out of this account in advance?Retired 1st July 2021.
This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."0 -
I'm confused!! Application went through on-line fine and I have my account details. It now says my account is open and I can make an initial transfer. However, they now say they need me to apply separately for internet banking (via a form, for which there is no return address shown).
The welcome email says that a welcome pack will follow in the post, and my log in details (if requested internet banking). I did tick YES for internet banking on the application, so is this part already done and doesn't need the separate form??
Anyway, can anyone whose been through a successful application clarify this for me, thanks.
I don't really like transferring money (especially £500) without being able to log on and see it arrived safely.How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -

You don't have to. I did £10 to prove I'd set it up correctly and, after seeing it applied to the ac, I then did the bigger one.0 -

i sent in an application for this account last thursday, but it got stalled at the stage 4 as has happened to some other people i gather. i tried again on friday and everything was fine and because i had an existing account with them (an ISA) it appeared as being open for use immediately. all well and good and i sent them the £500 as required. so whats the problem? well when i logged in this morning, oops! i now have TWO instant access accounts open. one with the £500, and another with £0 (and with contiguous account numbers (XXXX XXX6 and XXXX XXX7)
anyway, i shall phone them up later i guess and get it sorted out, but i was a little curious if anyone else had a similar experience?0 -

They're buried in enquiries & it's about a 10 minute wait to answer, atm.0 -

I applied, opened and funded the account at the weekend.
On line password arrived but not ID - rang to enquire and ID provided by phone - was able to log in, change details, see initial deposit - all fine.

An easy and efficient process.;...opened 2 separate accounts today for me and er’indoors. As quick and painless as any account opening procedure tbh,... apart from having to wait for the online log-in info via the post.... (I opened a couple of accounts with Investec Bank Online the other day and they require 9! Security questions/answers...it's a bleedin' marathon).
I immediately funded both accounts with an initial £500 which is the minimum required but obviously I can’t check its safe arrival just yet.
When I create a new ‘payee’ I always ‘copy&paste’ the sort code, account number and reference etc from the initial screen details that I receive. It eliminates typo’s and hasn’t let me down yet;
...famous last words, eh.0
