Natwest Unauthorised closure my bank accounts

Natwest have systematically and regularly closed account after account over the past few days, and I now have thousands of pounds 'missing'. We never asked for our bank accounts to be closed or frozen. We have had repeated reassurances from Natwest that no more accounts would be closed. We have raised complaints which are ignored and no one at Natwest can help us because they can't see the history of our accounts because our accounts have been closed. Has anyone ever seen this? Any advice?

Even closed accounts have a history, they can't just delete them from history as they are legally obliged to keep them for at least 6 years.
How many accounts do you have? Account after account may seem suspicious to them, so maybe there is a bit more to this story.0 -
What reason have they given for closing the accounts?0

You flitted from 'I' to 'We'...are they joint accounts?0

As usual new poster comes along, has a rant but fails to give us the full, true story. OP, how about starting from the beginning and giving us the full story with background so we may be able to advise you better.0

Any chance its due to money laundering suspicions?0

Very likely.
If the accounts are being closed with no explanation, then it's likely that the bank's representatives aren't allowed to say why.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
But why not in the bank section?
Has nothing to so with consumer rights. We all know Banks have the right to close a account if they see fit.
Must be school lunchtime.....Life in the slow lane0 -
The bank is in fact not allowed to tell you why it closed your accounts. All a bit George Orwell, but that's the law. They can't just keep any balances though!0
