That recent searches were made. Are they usually made online? sorry for all the questions, it's bugged me for a long time!0 -
Organisations he's borrowed money from. Not anyone he's lent it to.
It would be easiest for him to order his reports from the three CRAs himself.0 -

Yes, in the case of a current account it will show if you are using an overdraft but if there is a positive balance then it will show as £0.
Someone might do it if they were worried that the house they thought they were inheriting was mortgaged, or if they were worried an elderly relative had been conned into signing up to a load of mobile phone contracts.
Technically it's a data protection violation, most of them require you to know a lot of information about your finances before you can access it.0 -

You don't normally need account numbers. Accessing online you have to answer three multiple choice questions like: "You opened a bank account on such and such a date, was it a) barclays b) halifax etc."
Applying for one via post might require less, because they are sending it to your name and address.0 -
It would include utility companies: gas, electricity, phone, mobile, water. All these give you credit, so it doesn't have to be a bank loan or credit card.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

It will only include any of the above if the companies choose to report the accounts as credit accounts. I've personally never seen water accounts reported, not all gas/electricity suppliers report, only certain mobile phone contracts would be listed (not Pay as you go for example) and a lot of landline/internet providers don't report either.Indecision is the key to flexibility0 -
The report you get from CRA will show all searched (for last year I think) including the search to produce the report, this would show if a report had been ordered.0
