Paying off partner's overdraft with my credit card

Is it possible to pay off my partner's overdraft (£2000) using a credit card in my name? I'd like to get a 0% balance transfer card and it will be paid off in around 18 months.

Yes, it would be possible with a balance transfer card. Remember the debt then becomes yours.

Then read the small print for money transfers.

To do it from your card maybe possible if they allow money transfers, but they are not cheap.

Halifax have just offered me some offers.

for money transfers you’ll need your current account details including your debit card. 3% charge
