We have finally got to the stage where we are in a position to buy a house but, due to budget constraints, we mainly had a contain our search to properties in the same studenty area of town as we currently rent. :)

Its cheap, because of the area it is in, student-land.
  • I never lived in a student house but I went to plenty of parties at them and had friends who did. I wouldnt want to be their neighbour....report the noise at 3 or 4am and expect the police to roll up by about 9 (if a weekend when theyre busy). Might have to do the odd bit of refencing or chucking furniture back over, too. Im sure a lot of student houses arent like. But plenty are. One of my friends still lives in a house a bit like this and the only reason complaints have stopped is because their neighbours are elderly and cant hear much so arent bothered.
