I switched to Natwest and got the bonus in early 2018, i've switched to RBS last month and am going to see if I get that bonus too, was inspired by some others on this forum who said that it works.
although thinking about it i've no idea how they would know already as they haven't started paying bonuses out yet, It says in the terms that it will be paid by the 20th of Feb at the latest, Natwest was a similar deal in 2018 and it was only a few days before the latest date for payment that it went into my account.

This isn't the first switching incentive for either bank. ;)
  • Could somebody please confirm. I've switched to Natwest. Have transferred £750 over from my Co-op current account this afternoon to fulfill half the necessary £1,500 for the switching bonus.

I realise the £1,500 can be transferred across in installments and doesn't have to be in the Natwest account all at the same time. Is there any condition which requires the transferred money to be in the Natwest account overnight, or for any specific amount of time?

Ideally I wish to transfer the money back to my Co-op account at the earliest opportunity.

No there isn't. A nanosecond is long enough:)

Its a current account, so you're expected to pay/take money out of it
  • You'll be fine to remove it straightaway. The requirement is only to pay in a minimum amount - there is no obligation for the money to stay once it has been deposited. Imagine if you had bills to pay on payday?
