Best Child saving account?

Hi! I'm 15 years old with a regualar income from work of roughly £35 weekly. I have had an A&L First Save account for a good while but they announced a drop in rates for this month so I want to change to somewhere offering at least a little better. Where should I go?
Thanks in advance for your input,
Dan G

    Hi

Have a read of the Child Savings article and related discussion. Probably best to go towards the end of that thread as the beginning is quite old now.

There has also been a couple of recent discussions on the A&L reduction and people saying they'll transfer elsewhere they may be a couple of suggestions in there.

Finally, you may like to use a comparison website like moneysupermarket.

Well done for getting started so early....wish I had thought that way when I was 15, rather than 'investing' all my earnings in dodgy 80's records! ;)

The Halifax Save4it account has an interest rate of 5.05 or 5.15 (sorry can't remember which) which seems quite competitive. I think it's ok for those at the top end of the age spectrum.
