Optional Payment Protection Insurance

I managed to claim some money bank from Barclaycard for mis-sold PPI over 12 months ago. However, I'm still being charged for Optional Payment Protection Insurance on my monthly credit card statement.

Is it possible for me to cancel this and do I need to contact Barclaycard.

Thanks

  • Yes, you need to cancel it with them.
  • Is it possible for me to cancel this
It is unusual for a PPI policy to continue after a successful complaint, generally the complainant is prompted to cancel the insurance on receipt of a refund and redress.

However, it's certainly possible for the policy to continue despite the complaint outcome and it's solely down to you to ensure it is cancelled if you no longer need it.

It goes without saying that no further refund will be forthcoming...
