Thanks for all the useful replies. Having done more research we have now decided to go for July 2020 as it does allow us a little more time due to school holidays, however the prices are even higher (9-10k for 12 days). I plan to deconstruct the quotes I've had and price them up myself on the airline websites, booking.com etc. The only difficulty I will have is pricing up the safaris themselves as this is one area I have no knowledge of and have no idea who is genuine etc.
Any tips to avoid the scammers and low quality providers?0
