I already have my main current account with them. I was hoping to move all my products to one place.
I have a 99% chance of being approved for a CC or loan according to the eligibility checker on Credit Club.MFW 2019 #61: £13,936.60/£20,0000 -
HSBC just don’t fancy you as a credit card customer then.
Move on to another lender If you need a card and have a high acceptance rate elsewhere.0 -
Hi mmmsnow,
Why don't you request a manual review of your application? When I had an application for credit declined last year, I rang up the creditor and asked for a review. Literally a couple of minutes later my application was accepted and I became a customer. (This was not for HSBC though).I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
I love my job

I didn't realise that was an option! I'll give them a call tomorrow.
If they still say no, I'll just move my current account. I think RBS are doing a good switching offer and I know they have a reward CC.MFW 2019 #61: £13,936.60/£20,0000 -
It’s pointless switching your account just to chase a credit card deal.
What if you don’t get accepted for that credit card with RBS?0 -

I think she'd like everything in one place, easier online banking etc.finally tea total but in still in (more) debt (Oct 25 CC £1800, loan £6453, mortgage £59,924/158,000)0 -
If you have little to no credit debt and you settle your accounts in time then how is the bank going to make money? Credit is a business model after all. Creditors want so see active accounts and assess your spending habits. It may simply be something as silly as that. Creditors are funny...0

Just write to them to review the situation. They won't give you a reason, but they may decide to accept you.0
