BG Call Issues

Has anyone had call issues with BG?

I missed two because I was working and I wasn’t sure if they were actually from BG so instead of calling that number back I rang the number on there website.

However they said they have no notes on the system of them ringing me.

I’m confused.

    I've not had any issues with BG calling me.
    We seem to be be called by people claiming to be from Sky, informing us our Sky Protect is about to expire. Which is particularly odd, since we don't even have Sky, let alone Sky Protect insurance.

    If BG say the calls you received claiming to be from them, were not from them, then I would believe them.

    Lots of scammers out there. Just block the number used to call you from. :)

    The issue is they have said to me there are no notes on their system but they acknowledge the number I’ve received the calls from is one of theirs.

    That’s where the confusion has set in.

    Alongside that I’ve had issues with one of their customer service team so I decided to call back and request to speak to a manager.

    Have told me I’ll get a call within four hours so we shall see if I do.

    It's very easy for any scammer to fake the CLI.
    You may need to contact your telephony provider for details of how they block calls, but I know BT call protect will block the actual number the call originates from (as they know, usually) irrespective of the CLI displayed, or even if the CLI is withheld.

    Maybe it was them, but they don't log unanswered calls?
  • Possibly, but it would make more sense to log them so when people ring back they know it was BG and what it was regarding.

    Still no phone call and the promise of within four hours has elapsed considerably.
