Does renting my house while I am on hols count against child tax credits

Hi,
I live in a tourist area and am considering renting my whole house out on airbnb while I am away on hols myself.
I get child tax credits. With ESA and my pension I earn about £7k per annum I think.
A google suggests I can earn up to £7500 per annum under the rent-a-room scheme without it affecting my child tax credits in any way. Does this apply if I am renting the WHOLE HOUSE, or is it literally if you rent a room while you are living there yourself?
I'd be most grateful for any advise plus links that I can save
Thank you all

You will not be able to use the Rent A Room Scheme as your plan does not meet the criteria in any way shape or form.
You are correct, it is literally renting a room or rooms out (not the whole house) whilst living there yourself.0 -
It would potentially be seen as income and could affect any means tested benefits you may get.
You don't state whether your ESA is income or contribution based.0
