Laptop needed for my Mum

My Mum is in her 70s and has just moved back to the UK, she's looking for a laptop so she can use social media, email, Skype and a couple of sites that she plays scrabble and backgammon on. Her eyesight isn't the best so she would need a fairly good screen. Ideally she's looking to spend under £200. Can anyone point me in the right direction as I am clueless when it comes to IT. Thanks!

    good screen, or good size screen?

    A larger screen adds a greater cost, shorter battery time and makes the laptop even heavier. A lager screen may alow for a full size keyboard. A laptop tablet for some is not a bad choice, and it does not have to be apple

    A desktop will have a bigger and possibly better screen.

    Some TVs even may have many of the features you want including skype, think samsung removed this, but Tellybean should work.

    Good screen I guess more than good size. Unfortunately we don't have any room for a desktop.

    She is struggling with my iPad and would prefer a laptop with a mouse.

    Is that similar to a laptop? Sorry if it is a silly question but I'm not technically minded at all. I just want to help her find something reliable that's within her budget.

    Can you get 17inch chromebooks? Would suit the bill. Doubt you'd get a 17inch Windows refurb for £200.
