Oh no, sorry to hear you've been so ill 🙁 You've done so much in spite of that though. Great to hear the drains are finally sorted - it must be such a relief not to have them on your to-do list any moreMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

@Cornish_mum - you're going great guns - what sort of fish did you get? We have harlequins, candy cane tetras and Endler's guppies
Harry Potter World was very expensive, but was genuinely worth it for a good day out for fans of the film. Unfortunately DD has only really blossomed into a "proper" fan since we visited, so I doubt I'll get off with only visiting once! I even liked the butterbeer... Would recommend making your own way there, whether by car or on public transport. We considered going on one of those "from central London" type tours, but it was remarkably straightforward to get there from our accommodation, even with a few connections.

Hi Ed,
your fish sound fab we just have common guppies, hoping to get neon tetras once the tank is a bit more mature. Thanks for the tips on HP World, I am thinking of just taking DS, as DD isn’t into the Wizarding World yet whereas DS and I are mega fans. CM3 -
There is nothing common about guppies. They are live bearing unlike most with eggs & if your tank conditions are good they will breed in it & some of the males tails are lovely colours. Then there is the story of my very correct (&very nice) MiL standing in the queue at the butchers talking to a friend saying our molly's about to drop any day now. The whole shop gasped as how could you talk about someone "dropping" a child. She had to explain to the whole shop that they were talking about her tropical fish. It kept the family laughing for days.

Thanks debtfree, am doing so much better this week😀.Thanks bad memory- we have all boys to avoid over-running our smallish tank. This happened to a friend of my brothers when I was a kid/teenager. There was a fishkeeping craze in the part of Cornwall I am from. I had a tank as did loads of other kids in our village. Any how, this one lad couldn’t stop his guppies breeding and couldn’t find new homes for all the baby guppies; there were that many. Was keen to avoid doing that.Nice to know there are other other MFW fish keepers. CM3
