Whats the LG 43UM7600PLB 43" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV like?

Hi I hope this is the right forum? I'm saving up for a new TV and i would like to know what this model is like?

I have looked at Currys PC world and they are selling it at £499, they also charge £45 delivery and set up.

I've also looked at Richer Sounds who charge £419 for a LG 43UM7500PLA, can anyone tell me what the difference is between these two models please?

Back to my post. Delivery for R Sounds is free to disabled people (I have scholiocis) and they said they would set it up for me. Also the gaurantee is for 6 years, where o would have to pay £2 a month to know how with Currys PC World.

can you tell me where i would get the better deal please? Sorry to ask. And also if LG are very good? I did consider the Sony Bravia as my parents have one, but apparently LG make the same 4K screens for Sony.

Many thanks.

LG make OLED screens for Sony and others. LCD could be from various sources.

Richer sounds here too; in the past I've had dreadful experiences trying to get Currys/PCW to honour extended warranties.
  • Thanks for your replie's.

Richer sounds it is then. What is the difference between a LG 43UM7600PLB and the LG 43UM7500PLA?

The TV has 3 HDMI's. I watch in the evenings, been told to make sure the environment function is off, as it makes the screen dark? I also love period dramas and movie's.

THe 7600PLB has an extra HDMI slot, and they both have different stands (immaterial if your wall mounting it). Here's a link to them both on LG so you can compare them:

Richer Sounds appears to be available instore only, but sounds like you have a local store that are willing to sort you out? I agree with everyone else who has posted, Richer Sounds every time, especially if the other option is Currys. It is also available at John Lewis with a 5-year guarantee (£424), but I'd still go for Richer Sounds over them too.

Is it worth me having four HDMI'S? I have mu Humax box and DVD player plugged, in as well as TV?

a bit of future proofing maybe? I had a dvd player, sky box and a pc connected. Added an Amazon stick and now have none free!
  • I'll only have my Humax box and DVD player plugged in, TV has it's own plug doesn't it?

That means you are only using 2 HDMI slots, one for DVD player and one for the Humax box. So you still have a free slot that you'd be able to use if you choose to do something like buy a games console, or an Amazon Firestick/Google Chromecast, or NOW TV, or connect your PC. You'd only hit a problem if you ever wanted to add two of these.
