Hi, i'm now connected to my phone via a usb cable, working perfectly, Thank you, just need to work out how to fix the wifi problem now

You can try a Driver from the HP website in the first instance before one from the Realtek website.

Remove current Driver via the Device Manager just prior to installing the new Driver.

When you use your phone as a hotspot, which band do you use 2.4Ghz or 5 ? I had a similar problem some time ago with my G7 and my lappy but due to age restrictions I can't remember what I did:mad:

Hi, Sorry, i am not sure, i just tether it and it works really well, apart from this laptop promlem

I have unlimited data on my phone

Hi, thank you, already done that. So it is realteck driver i need, i cant get my laptop to connect to the internet long enough to download them I'll keep trying. Thank you.

I guess the latest WiFi one would be probably needed RTL81XXX but just guessing , don't have Windows available here to check
