Hi guys,
Looking at getting a new Ford Fiesta St Line 100 eco-boost.
I have just started looking and went to the dealership for the first time yesterday. Before he rings back, I want to know what’s included, or can be included so I can haggle with them.
As it’s a new car, would all parts such as wheel bearings, brake pads/discs and other parts like that come with warrantee??
Also are services usually included & if so how many?
Is there any other good questions which I may ask?
I’m new to the whole finance thing so I’m still learning.

Why not go via Carwow or similar sites - that will give an indication of pricing which could be achieved0

A PCP is not a leasing deal that includes service and repairs, you are simply obtaining finance to buy the car. A manufacturer's warranty for a Ford will be 3 years, and it does not cover wear and tear-so tyres, brake pads, batteries etc are not included.
And no, servicing is a separate cost, usually annually.
Look at the total cost, including the balloon payment-not just the monthly amount. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Was there not a major problem with Ford eco boost engines overheating and costing the owners a lot of money ?0

Brake pads/discs are regarded as consumables on a vehicle and unless faulty will not be covered under a warranty.
Odd to ask about wheel bearings - owned cars for 30 years plus and never had one need replacing.
You aren’t thinking of using it on a track or something daft are you ?0 -
I only ask these questions as my first car and only car I’ve had has gone through two front left and two front right bearings replaced. But no I don’t drive on a racecourse 😂 10k miles a year
Plus I’ve gone through many brake pads and disks. I dunno how.
And it’s a Citroen C2: AWFUL CAR0 -
Whaaat really? I don’t know:
Would that not be covered in the warrantee?0 -
Virtually no part that is subject to wear and tear is going to be covered by a warranty (not warrantee).0

Generally they say brake wear is a combination of driving conditions and driving style. Town driving with lots of stops accelerates wear, motorway driving with few stops gives a longer life. Driving with less anticipation and less use of natural engine braking, so using the brakes every time you need to slow down also wears them much quicker, plus it uses more fuel.0 -
If you are still learning spend the next 3 months doing a lot more learning about PCPs.
The key one being how do you know you have a good deal?
These are all the elements of a PCP which can be manipulated to make you think you have a good deal.
Cost of car
Trade in
Dealer contribution
Finance deposit
Length of loan
APR
Balloon payment
In what could be a two hour negotiation any and all of these can be changed very quickly and all they will talk to you about is 'cost per month'.
Then they will talk about GAP, service plans, tyre insurances, minor damage insurance and 101 other things.
If you don't know the detail you will be a lamb being led to the slaughterhouse.0
