Yorkshire Building Society transfer

My regular saver with YBS matured on Friday. Saturday morning I requested online a transfer of the balance. It said I would receive it by the 8th. Morning of the 9th still hasn't arrived. What's others' experience of how long it takes?
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

I'm lucky enough to be able to access a branch with little problem - called in on a Friday, requested a FP and it was in my account on the Saturday. Also took the opportunity to open a new RS.
That won't help of course other than to confirm the YBS does pretty much what it says. I would be surprised if you didn't have the funds by tomorrow.
Always a problem with RS maturities falling on a Fri/Sat/Sun.0 -
Yes, I opened a new one today (branch opposite my nearest Virgin Money!). Perhaps I should have done the closure at the same time rather than doing it online!I'm lucky enough to be able to access a branch with little problem - called in on a Friday, requested a FP and it was in my account on the Saturday. To answer the query - my YBS transfers always leave on one bank day and arrive in my bank on the next bank day, between 9am and 10am.
As YBS uses the Nat West banking system, I would presume that a transfer out initiated on a Saturday at YBS will actually be actioned on the Monday through Nat West, resulting in the funds arriving Tuesday morning.

Funnily enough that's exactly my situation, though 200+ miles plus from Surrey! Less than 100 yards in fact. I had deferred my visit by one day to collect the maturing Virgin 12 RS and have the others brought up to date. Quite an efficient, slick piece of work, I thought

I also have a Virgin Money close to my nearest branch of the Nottinghamshire BS, so try to time those as well!I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -

I actually received the money some time this afternoon. So seems to be the following working day. Would be interesting to see what happens if I'd done it on a SundayI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0
