in Credit cards
Hi,
I've got a bit of a dilemma. I'm moving house in a weeks time, but I'd like to try to apply for a 0% deal on balance transfer (I've got a couple of credit cards and a few store cards. Totalling about £3,500). I appreciate that it's difficult right now to get those deals, but I figure if I've very recently moved house it'll be borderline impossible. I'm unemployed right now, but have several job interviews lined up and am hopeful of getting at least one (min £12,000 a year) around the time I'm due to move. HOWEVER, I've paid the rent up on my current home till just after Christmas. So, would it make sense to keep this on as my main address until that time? I'm afraid I'm not very financially clued up... Thanks for any advice,

Absolutely. If you wait till you move this can affect your credit rating. You may not even get a card now anyway, because the card companies now have a very high refusal rate due the uncertain financial markets and the issues with banks lending each other money.0

Yeah, I thought that might be the case.
Urgh. It's so stupid. I'm finding it really frustrating that they look on people who rent so badly as well. I mean, what am I meant to do? These days it's rare people can afford to buy their own house at my age. Grrrr. I'm going to give it a go and see what happens. If anyone has any advice as to which 0% deal is most likely to approve me, then I'd love to hear it. In fact, any other advice would be fantastic. Thanks,
