Hi everyone!
I am really not good at electrical/tv things so apologies if I use any terminology wrong, my knowledge is solely from googling!
I've just moved into a new flat and am having trouble connecting my TV to the aerial. There are two short wires that come out behind a cupboard and I'm assuming they are the aerial wires.
I thought there were something call co-axial cables so I bought this extension cable from Argos (4m extension lead - white, 920/8494). However, when I tried to connect the female end of the Argos cable to the male end in my flat it would not fit. The male end seems too wide for the female end to go over. Also the thin wire within the male end is way skinnier than the male end on the cable from Argos so I'm thinking it is definitely not the right cable.
After googling it seems like mine looks like a 'satellite cable' but is there a way to check that before I buy another extension cable?
I'm not sure how it works here but I can post pictures if needed. Hope it made some sense!
Thanks,

As a new poster you wont be allowed to post the full link but just post it without the http and someone will be along to do the rest.0 -
You could also try asking a neighbour as they may also have the same setup.0

After googling it seems like mine looks like a 'satellite cable' but is there a way to check that before I buy another extension cable?A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -
