I'll check the payment portal in a bit, plus email the Sainsbury's CEO.

I've already complained to my MP and have sent him an update this morning.

I'll consider writing to Trading Standards too, if need be (my local councillor might save me the trouble if he passes on my concerns).

Can I suggest you still go through CA consumer helpline if you do write to TS

There was a case on here a year or two back where it became apparent that letters to TS were not being opened.

It's not actually "fobbing off" to CA consumer helpline. It's the now recognised way of reporting to TS

It came about because this current government thought it a better (and I suspect cheaper) way of reporting to TS.

Interesting, but perhaps not surprising response from Sainsbury’s Exec Office

“Please note, in regards to your criticism of Horizon I appreciate the points you are making however this would need to be directed at Horizon themselves as I would not be able to assist with any of these issues”
