Hi
I bought a Vista PC four months ago, but it has started crashing all the time.
It's Packard Bell Intel(R) Core (TM) 2 CPU 4300 @1.80 GHz, 1 MB RAM. Windows Vista Home Premium 32 -bit.
So far I've installed AVG, uninstalled Norton, run a full scan - all clear. I've run CCleaner, defragmented, and run HiJackthis.. Hope this makes sense to someone:

I'd suspect hardware before software (I can't see anything wrong with your HJT log incidentally). Check the temperatures that the system's running at - either in the BIOS or download something like Everest or SiSoft. Run Memtest just to check out the memory. If you're happy about removing the side(s) of the PC then do that & make sure everything's well seated in its slots. Check the fan on the graphics card (if it has one) is still spinning. Check for build-up of dust (unlikely considering its age but worth doing). Try running it in safe mode for a while & see if the crashing still occurs (does it crash randomly or when you're playing games etc?)0

Thanks. I'll try the safe mode for a while.
It crashes randomly - I don't play games, but do use it for AutoCAD and Photoshop, so pretty big files..0
