Do I have the right to cancel?

I bought a leather 3 piece suite and was told the delivery date would be in mid November. (I paid in full) Today I have received an email informing me that the delivery has been delayed, and that it would be after Christmas until it would be delivered now.
Needless to say this has really annoyed me, do I have the right to cancel the whole thing and to demand a full refund which included the delivery. This a LOT of money to pay upfront, and frankly I am a little worried.

Depends where you bought it and what the terms and conditions were (often on the back of the signed order).0

Hi Lorian,
I bought it on Ebay from a company, therefore there were no terms and conditions as such. When man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0 -
All businesses have to supply goods within 30 days of Payment unless stated at time of purchase
You have the right to cancel if they cannot supply within that time frame0 -
How did you pay? I.E credit card. If credit card contact your card company after speaking with the supplier and tell the suppliers that have broken their agreed delivery date and this contravenes the sale of goods act 1974. Tell them they have seven days to refund the full amount or you will consider court proceedings.0

It's goodIf the seller doesn't offer you a refund, you can open a dispute if necessary, and there should be no argument about giving you a refund.
Speak to the seller first, resort to paypal if necessary. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Just to echo what the others say..phone the company this afternoon if you still have time and say that as the delivery estimate is no longer any good for you you would like an immediate and full refund. If they agree or seem OK leave it for a few days and see if it turns up back in your paypal acount. If they prevaricate or sound a bit 'off' consider opening a dialogue in paypal. If you open a dispute just use it for a few days to communiate with the seller, be firm and just restate the fact that you require a refund as the delay in shipping is no good to you.
Then if no refund is forthcoming escalate that to a full chargeback.
One thing to be aware of though, how long ago did you pay? You only have 45 days in which to open a chargeback so whatever you do don't get anywhere near that limit.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
