UC or JSA child turns 5

HI
I've been sent a letter by the Jobcenterplus stating that in I need to apply for JSA once my child turns 5 but I live an area that already on Universal credit. So do I apply for JSA as they indicated or universal credit?
My child turns 5 on a Sunday , when would be the best time to apply for the benefit the following Monday( Next Day) or over the weekend that it runs out?
The only 'special circumstance' that i have is that currently live in supported accommodation.

Do you receive a disability benefit such as PIP /DLA?
Are you getting a Severe Disability Premium (SDP) paid to you - either as part of your Housing Benefit or other benefits?
If so, it will be JSA.

As you are in supported accommodation, I believe your Housing Benefit should continue (even if it you need to apply for UC).

I would suggest:
1) Checking exactly what benefits you receive atm;
2) Speaking with the DWP to ask why they believe it is JSA you should now claim (note specific DWP phone number on the first link given):
3) Checking with your Housing Benefit department to check if your HB includes a SDP;
4) Double check with your local CAB / or Shelter that you have been given correct advice by the DWP / council.

Thank you
I'm not on PIP/DLA,SDP or ESA just income support.
I'll do as you have kindly advised.0 -

Then it is likely to be UC.
I was just trying to explain the circumstances in which it would be a legacy benefit such as JSA (as the DWP stated JSA) rather than UC.
But worth clarifying with the DWP.Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0
