Insuring a Volkswagen with Ford?

I suppose it doesn't matter but I own a VW golf but bought insurance with ford as it was one of the cheapest options and I assumed Ford were a well established reliable insurer.
Then I realised won't it be a bit weird if I ever have to claim on the insurance and I'm asking Ford to fix my VW car? Or doesn't it matter? I'm looking on the policy document and it says stuff like "Tailored for Ford owners, Repairs by Ford trained specialists, Genuine Ford parts" etc.
So would they still be able to fix my VW? What would the process be if I did need to make a claim for repairs?

How is that any different to asking the AA to repair it if you haven't broken down? Or direct line even if you don't have a direct line? Admiral even if you not in the navy? Insurance is insurance. It won't need to be fixed by ford.
Well with AA, RAC, Admiral etc I assumed they'd take your car to a general garage to get it fixed right? Whereas because it's Ford and they're saying stuff like genuine ford parts, ford train specialists etc I assumed your car would be taken to an official ford garage?
I guess not though, so they'd just take your car to a normal garage like all the other insurance companies?0 -
Ford Insurance is owned by a subsidiary of the Admiral Group.Ford Insure contracts are arranged, administered and provided by EUI. EUI is a subsidiary of Admiral Group and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. This can be confirmed at fca.org.uk/register.

It's a matter of branding. "Ford" insurance does not really exist.0
