True if Corbyn couldn't do it in 2017 when the polls were better, then less chance now. This policy like many seems to be a headline grabbing one, unfortunately it may appeal to voters in safe seats, so you could see the vote share go up in those, however in the margianals that they want to win over I'm not sure it will convert many soft Tory voters. Maybe it's the never-voted portion they are hoping to break the habit and vote this time?

It’s not just forcing landlords to sell their properties to their tenants though is it?

It’s the fact that foreign investors are all pulling out of the uk, why have property investments in the uk if the government can force you to sell to your tenants
The thing about chaos is, it's fair.

To late the damage has been done

Now foreign property investors have been spooked by the very possibility that the government can force them to sell even if they didn’t want to

To the Labour Party yes. Years of attracting the Middle Class voters blown away in a stroke.

Maybe foreign investors aren't scared away as easily as you would be? What did you do when property prices dropped in 2008? We bought another house, did you? Or were you too spooked?
