Recycling Epson compatibles? And new Epson bottles?

Hi,
My old printer basically finally gave up, and I've got quite a few compatible ink cartridges here. I used up an entire pack trying to clean the print head..
Anyway, I'd like to recycle those, ideally through the post . I don't care about getting any money for them, and my understanding is that it is mainly plastic which makes it a bit harder to recycle...
I've also since bought an ecotank, and I've seen that once these bottles run out, then I could go to cartridgesave and buy good quality compatible ink there.
Does anyone know where I can recycle them? Both empty, and filled cartridges given that a lot of my cartridges are now worthless. I bought a lot on eBay at around 45p/cartridge...

Thanks. Looks like Currys can take em. I'm not sure if they'd take Epson though? Given that Epson are mainly just...plastic?0 -
I've also since found this
https://www.therecyclingfactory.com/asda-tickled-pink
Shall phone Curry's to see if they'll accept em. As they're Epson, and basically mostly plastic, unfortunately they can't give any donation / cash value, but at least it will be recycled, so that's something
I'd rather go to Curry's especially as the carbon footprint is much lower... Though if not, there is always the freepost option0 -
I have also noticed that with the ecotank bottles, you can just take a plier, hold the top part and twist the bottle open.
Then, you can wash it out, and throw the bottle in the recycling bin. You may want to not recycle the top part purely because it is an utter pain to get the last remaining ink from there... Ie: the part where the tip of the bottle fits into the printer tank.
Still, at least that's actually even easier to recycle!0 -
I did spot an inkjet cartridge recycling bin in my nearest Tesco a few weeks ago.
They do not appear on the Recycle Now list for my area.0 -
Thanks. Unfortunately my nearest Tesco isn't so local. I'll check and see if Asda have any recycling bins... or WH Smiths. They're local to me0
