PIP assessment tomorrow all. I am scared and stressed for it. Let's hope they are understanding of my conditions I have and how much they affect me.0

I had my assessment 3 weeks ago.. It was not a pip assessment but lwrca assessment.. Not sure if they both are assessed in the same way..
Just be yourself and tell them all the problems you are facing in your day to day activities0 -

So some one pip, will they get more money that what I will be getting, a question out of interest0

PIP is a completely separate benefit to UC. You can receive both. Whether you qualify for PIP depends on how your health affects you. Getting PIP does not reduce your UC.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
Should I ring the DWP tomorrow and ask for an update?0

Too soon, I think it is likely to be six weeks or more after the assessment before you hear anything.RainyDays1999 wrote: »Should I ring the DWP tomorrow and ask for an update?Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
Have you rang to request a copy of the assessment report, if not and you live in the UK you can request this. It will give you some idea what the decision is likely to be because they mostly go with the report.RainyDays1999 wrote: »Should I ring the DWP tomorrow and ask for an update?
As for timescales, there isn't any, it depends on backlog in your area.0 -
I got the enhanced rate for personal care, but didn't score anything for mobility. Should I appeal the decision? Because I believe I do deserve the mobility component, but I'm worried I could lose everything.0

Whether you should have been awarded anything for mobility will depend on how your conditions affect you. Are you claiming for physical or mental health issues?RainyDays1999 wrote: »I got the enhanced rate for personal care, but didn't score anything for mobility. Should I appeal the decision? Requesting the MR will mean they will look at the whole award again. This means that you do risk losing everything you already have. However, most MR decisions remain the same but there's also a chance that you could be awarded a higher amount.
You have 1 month from the date of the decision to request the MR which should be put in writing.0
