Suspended parking warnings-what are the rules?
So i got a ticket for parking in a pay and display bay in camden , i did see the sign of suspended parking - however they didn't place a year date for the ending of the suspension , so having a quick look at that moment it seemed it was out of date lol photos attached - even the guy given me the ticket said it wasn't right .
Actually no idea how to upload : basically it states :
FROM MON 22 JULY
TO FRI 17TH JAN
TIME 24HRS PER DAY
REASON TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
Surely they should have to have said it more like :
To FRIDAY 17TH 2020
oh well , just wondering what you guys think , i did appeal it but they still refuse lol

part of the appeal reply :
While I acknowledge what you have stated that you believe the suspension sign was insufficient as it did not state the year on the dates and therefore you believed the notice had expired. I have noted your comments, however, I am satisfied that the signs were fully compliant with the regulation as the dates were clearly specified, meaning it was clear to understand. Furthermore, the council has a statutory obligation to ensure that notices placed are for active suspensions or for any upcoming suspensions.0 -
If you're not happy, go through the Traffic Penalty Tribunal.0

No chance. I think it was reasonable to expect people to understand that the dates refer to the "current" period, in the absence of the year being specified.0
