Boiler Beeping

I have a Logic C30 boiler. Only month old. Has an annoying beeping noise coming from it. Every 30 seconds. Very loud. How can I stop it? Even turning boiler power off it doesn't stop.
Has been happening since 2am and have been awake since 2am. Hot water and heating works fine. Pressure gauge is fine. No error codes showing. Tried resetting it and turning off for an hour. Just a constant beeping whatever I do.
Have checked all smoke detectors and Co2 alarms in house. Is definitely coming from boiler. As boiler working normally Logic not willing to attend till Monday. Weekend of the beeping may drive me mad.
Anyone know why its beeping and if there is anything can do to stop it? Thanks in advance for anyone's advice.

A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

Beeping continuing with the boiler switched off seems odd. You haven't got a smoke or carbon monoxide detector in there have you? They would do that if the battery is getting low. Very loud - from personal experience.

We thought it was the battery low alarm for one of the dectors as it's that sort of sound. But checked both and even turned them off and moved them to another part of the house.

It's definitely coming from the boiler. It is bizarre that it doesn't stop when off. Unless it is still powered when you turn it off at the wall.

Looking on google gives either a gas or water leak the possible cause. If you're sure the beeping is from the under guarantee boiler I'd contact the manufacturer before asking on any forum as what ever answer you get will almost certainly be guesswork.

As far as I can see the Ideal C30 boiler has no sounder on the PCB and no battery backup, so it is virtually impossible that the beeping is coming from the boiler, especially if the power is switched off. It might be coming from a thermostat or programmer connected to the boiler. Check the thermostat or programmer for low battery level - there should also be a low battery level indication on the display.

Possibly a sensor within the boiler casing, but with a battery backup of some sort? Without taking the casing off it's impossible to know, but I wouldn't mess with an item which is still under warranty.
  • Might not be the boiler. I thought my boiler was beeping all weekend once. Was driving me mad but waited till Monday to call someone out.
Once he got here they couldn't figure it out then his helper realised it was the low battery on the carbon monoxide detector.

    Very much embarrassed

Some sounds can be very difficult to locate. The noise bounces off certain surfaces and is absorbed by others which can fool the ear into thinking the sound is coming from a different direction to where it actually is. If the boiler is on or close to a party wall, so the beeping could even be coming from the neighbour's house!

Well problem is resolved. Boiler manufacturer had a cancellation so sent someone out this morning. Tacpot12 was correct, Ideal Logic C30 does not have an audible alarm.

Much embarrassment. Last time our old boiler was serviced, we were recommend to replace our CO2 alarm. So we brought a new one and thought we had binned the old one. Somehow it had ended up on top of a kitchen cupboard next to the boiler. Battery dying. Beep beep.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions though. Moral of the story is to make sure you take out the batteries of alarms when you replace them.
  • How much did that cost you ?
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.
