I’ve just had a demand for extra council tax, but I have been lying lol they asked me to pay.

I just want to ask them for proof of this extr they say I owe them,
They can’t give it to me

Pardon? Sorry, but think you'll need to rewrite this, as it is confusing currently and people won't be able to assist you.0 -

Yes, the world is unfair. I’m surprised that you are only just realising this.I’ve just had a demand for extra council tax, but I have been lying lol they asked me to pay.

Not to worry, the council don’t need to provide you any proof, so all fine on that point.0 -
The council don't need to provide proof in the way that they would for a civil debt being pursued by the civil court, the demand notice is sufficient proof that they believe a debt is due. What exactly are you disputing with them ?
If you were to dispute their decision there is a formal process for doing so.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -
If you have been lying, you will get caught.
If they know you are lying, then they have proof. You will need to prove what they think is correct is wrong. You can't do this because you are lying.

Trying to work through it in a logical manner -What is the latest document you have received from the council in respect of it ?I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. As standard you should only recieve one council tax bill a year, in March, for the full year ahead.
Obviously if you move home, change residents who live with you, claim exemptions or Council tax reduction these changes will produce additional bills. Sometimes these will be for extra money, sometimes these will reduce the money you owe.0
