Is it too late to name the driver?

That LazyDaisy thread you have found was fine at the time it was written, but that was in 2013. It is now outdated. Best not to refer to that thread anymore.
you're right, it's a quite old post but it's referred to on the NEWBIES thread (it's listed on the glossary) so I wasn't sure if we were supposed to follow that procedure or not. It's very confusing as the NEWBIEWS thread currently suggests a simple SAR request but that same thread links to the old thread with different instructions.
It's an old post but It does have interesting ideas, like resetting the clock by the naming the driver and making an offer to the company to make it go away so I do wonder what are the chances of it getting updated by someone with good knowledge?0 -
Is this connected to your previous thread here?
Yes it is and I'm sorry if that's considered duplicating a thread, I didn't mean to. The reason why I created a new thread was that the other post is a personal one, about my specific case, and this thread asks a general question that could help other people. So from my point of view, it should've been two different threads.0 -
Please tell us:
Name of PPC
Windscreen Ticket or ANPR Camera capture
Date of parking event
Date of Issue shown on the very first letter received from the PPC.
I don't think naming the driver will see the PPC offer any reduced rate, they'll likely want the full amount. But nothing's guaranteed or predictable in this game.
What exactly are the reasons for 'naming the driver', there's no stigma attaching to the keeper in dealing with this, nor is there likely to be any more or less of a cost. You mention 'gaining more time' - for what objective?
I could do with gaining more time because I have a 7 months old baby at home to care for and I also work from home (just finished work at 5 am, baby will be up in 2 hours so after doing some PCN research, I won't sleep tonight), I barely have time for a shower let alone to put together a defense and go to court, I've read the NEWBIES thread quite a few times and I do get a feeling it will take me ages to understand everything and write the defense.
My appeal included arguing that 13 minutes was a reasonable amount of time to get myself and newborn baby in the car but in order to not name the driver, I wasn't able to submit my baby's birth certificate as it would clearly state my name or any medical records about my c-section. IAS did mention on the appeal decision that they very much doubt I was telling the truth about the baby, which left me feeling very upset and offended they're accusing me of lying so would love to shove my evidence down their throat!
Additionally the driver, DH has no interest in the case or going to court, I wrote all appeals and he simply read and approved sending it.
Name of PPC: HX Car Park Management
Windscreen Ticket or ANPR Camera capture: ANPR Camera capture
Date of parking event: 27/03/2019
Date of Issue shown on the very first letter received from the PPC: 1st April 2019
On the first letter, they said 'transfer of liability deadline: 5th May 2019' but PPC are known for lying and misleading people for their own benefit.0 -
It's not to late but you may be throwing yourself under a bus. If the notices aren't POFA compliant then only the driver is liable. If they don't know who that is then good luck.
You talk about the ticket reverting back to £60. That's not going to happen it's £100 minimum now.
So I've spent some time checking the ticket. I'm very tired and my mind is a bit foggy but it does look like they are 100% POFA compliant.I'm uploading the PCN here and if there's someone with a few minutes to spare who could double-check it's POFA compliant, I'd really really appreciate it.0 -
Can you put this in your original thread please? Seeing the background can be really helpful. As has already happened you will just end up repeating stuff and getting the same questions repeatedly if you have multiple threads.0
