Sorry if posting in the wrong place, I am new to it and haven't really looked around as much as I probably should...Please feel free to move to a more relevant thread if necessary.
Seriously hoping someone can help us out, several years ago we took out a barclaycard, gave us £*** credit limit, spent it and failed to make the minimum payment (WHOOOPS) anyway, since then we have been making payments of £20 per month although there have been a few months that we couldn't afford to, we now owe approx £250 over our agreed credit limit, so we have like I say been making quite regular payments and no matter how much we pay, the interest always seems to cancel it out, so we are basically just getting more and more in debt, occasionally they chuck on a nonsense charge (Example: we paid every month for about 6, but they chucked in 2 missed payment charges so we ended up paying £20, and charges & interest added up to around £50) and just this month out of the blue, they have added a card protection charge of £29 although that was cancelled years back when we tried to make a claim on it and couldn't.
So there's the general gist of it, I am hoping someone could give me some advice as finances are really not my thing, and I know there are a lot of you on here that know your legal rights inside out, some better than the finance company's...
Please, please help...I'm getting desperate.
Thanks all...
