When will my payment come through via fast track transfer.

This story is extremely long and annoying so I will point at the important parts. 27th Tuesday: Halifax went against an arrange we had and then closed my account where my wages would have gone in (they are aware it is there fault for closing down the account earlier than arranged). 30th Saturday: my wages went into my closed account, so Halifax took their money I owed them and I asked them to transfer to a metro account. Monday, Tuesday this week: I called up asking for an update, where they told me that it was transferred on Saturday and it will take 3 working days. Wednesday, yesterday: A man from Halifax told me that it was fast tracked on WEDNESDAY at 12:21pm and should be in my metro account later that night or tomorrow morning. Well its Thursday morning and I am still waiting, does this sound very odd coming from a bank.

    How did they pay it if they paid it by faster payments it would generally come through immediately or certainly within 24 hours if they paid it by BACS it would take longer

    They didn't tell me if it was CHAP or BACS (as the information they gave to me, keeps changing), but if my guess is correct, I would say BACS.
  • BACS can take three working days I believe.

    Yes Bacs is 3 working days
  • Even for BAC it is taking longer than expected.

    Phone or visit a Halifax branch - get them to give you the cash, a cheque or give a firm date for the receipt of the funds in your new account.

  • I did that on friday (going into the branch and even calling them AGAIN) this is the excuse they gave me, "We have already processed the money into the account and the latest it should show up is on monday" (even though they have been saying for days it should be a same day payment, they keep changing the info provided). Its now Monday and I am more than outraged, I have emailed Financial Ombudsman, because its now a last resort.
