Yahoo Mail

Is anyone else having problems with Yahoo mail this morning? I can't get on either with my phone or laptop. It is telling me there is no Internet connection but I have Internet connection for everything else.

Yes, mine’s not working either. Apparently they’re having a major service outage all over the country. BT has been affected too since they use Yahoo.

I’d really like to swap to Gmail now but it’s just too complicated for me.

I don't think it is very complicated to set up a gmail account. If you do so you can get your existing emails saved to transfer to the new account. After a short time you won't even remember the old days and, of course, it is easy to share on any tablet or phone you have.
  • Thank you, I am able to get into it now but it is not updating with new emails. I sent myself two emails to check, they are in my sent folder but not yet come up in my inbox or spam folders.
I had wanted to purchase tickets, but they have to be printed out and used on the day of purchase.
    Hope it is working tomorrow.

All outages like these take a while to get back to full service while various things are rebooted, reconfigured, occasionally kicked and sworn at and then tested. So expect emails to get stuck in a queue somewhere for a while, it will get back to normal eventually, patience is a virtue.
  • It's outageous. :o

I already have a gmail account. I just can’t work out how to get all my yahoo stuff sent to it. I’ve tried google’s advice page about it which made no sense to me at all. I couldn’t understand any of it and gave up. This is why I’m still with yahoo after 20 years lol.
