NHS Neg claims

Having been involved in a claim against the NHS for the last 5 years i have to say i am TOTALLY amazed at the amount of money the NHS TRUST who defend claims actually waste trying to defend claims they just cant win !
They back out just before going to court BUT only after tens of thousands of pounds is wasted,
In my case i had strong medical reports that blamed the NHS Hospital i was in for Negligent care AND causation, The NHS Trust even admitted negligent care BUT denied the negligent care caused my issues ( I was left disabled for life)
For all you people who are against people who claim against the NHS for being a drain on NHS services then let me say, You dont know the half of it !
As i said causation was denied by the NHS and this is basically the norm for them ! even if like me you have very strong medical reports from Very highly qualified experts to say injuries were caused by the NHS negligent care,
My claim went on for 4 years, The NHS paid my claim in the end and it was substantial as at 55 i can no longer work again and will need care for the rest of my life,
Its not only their own solicitors they have to pay for and their own medical experts, They pay for my solicitors, My barista, My medical experts ect, Now i do not know the cost of their own solicitors but i know what they had to pay my own solicitors and barrista and medical reports That was a total of 158 THOUSAND POUNDS !
I know they have to try and defend claims but come on when the evidence is overwhelming it does not make sense to try and defend ! Im sure they drag it on and on in the hope you will die before they have to pay you out !
During the course of my claim i made 3 separate Part 36 offers to settle my claim at an amount much lower then my claim was worth, Just to get it over with and get rid of the stress it bought, NONE of my offers were even entertained, so i thought sod it you arrogant people, withdrew my offers, and ended up settling for an amount that was 50% higher than my part 36 offer ! where is the logic ?
Yes we all know the NHS are in dire straits BUT now you know another reason why .

This is more a vent than a 'Consumer Rights' issue.
Mods - can it be moved, please.0 -
Why are you paying someone who works in a coffee shop?
Why are you posting in consumer rights?0 -

It's Costa lot of money for the NHS to deal with this.0

Maybe the medical evidence wasn’t as overwhelming as you think - Unless you have a medical and law qualification.
Not all medical “mishaps” are negligence and even when they are identifying the “culprit” is important and vital.
Depending on whether it was a system or personnel failing will make a huge difference to how they deal with it.0 -
I think this will brew for a few days, maybe we need the info from the ground up and hope we aren’t drip fed0

I don't think this is as black or white as OP makes out.0
