It's your baby, not hers. Blimey, Babies in Sweden sometimes sleep in a cardboard box! I'd find baby a drawer to kip in.0

Paid £40 off of the first Littlewoods payment today, £40 left and it's clear :T
Had a few bills go out yesterday and more due Monday, but I put the £250 aside too as my savings account went live this morning. Today besides the debt payment was a NSD, tomorrow will also be a NSD. My plan tomorrow is to sit down and figure out my next plan with regards to my next savings target, and how I'm going to get there. I had a fab day of sorting today and have a huge cardboard box of bits to sell, so tomorrow my career as an eBay Queen officially starts!!
Besides the back payment I am now completely skint (literally touching 0 when I account for Monday's direct debits), so I'm not spending anything until I've figured out my plan. I'm one of these people who thinks "£60 won't hurt..." a few times and suddenly I've spent all my money, but considering my baby is my priority I have to put the blinkers on and pretend my account is at zero. Weird how much I struggle with not spending money, when it's so hard to come by at the moment?? Makes me feel quite childish, but it seems the list of "needs" is never ending. Hoping keeping accountable stops this from feeling so uncontrollable.
I am paid Tuesday, it's only a small payday until my proper paydays on the 24th/26th. From that, I need to clear the first Littlewoods balance, top up my rent and cover several bills (including credit card monthly payment). Feels like I'm dying on my a** at the moment, the second I get paid it all goes out again on debts, I'm not living on credit anymore but staying in the black is a bit miserable sometimes! Although I cleared just shy of £300 last month in debt over payments, which is huge in my financial position, so I have to keep reminding myself that this will eventually feel better. Once everything is paid, living within my means I will actually have a better standard of living than I had living on credit, but I think the initial period of clearing things off is PANTS :rotfl: This CC debt especially, I couldn't even tell you what I bought with it originally, it feels so pointless looking back but I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way.
I do also have a little freelance job to do next week, £25, plus they owe me an invoice from last week so that's another £50 in the pot.
I hit 20 weeks pregnant today!! Officially half baked. I have my anomaly scan on Monday morning which is playing on my mind, I really hate scans. I had a mmc in 2015 that was detected at a 10 week ultrasound so I have a reasonably large fear of them now. I did get to see baby a month ago in a private scan which looked great, so I'm trying to reassure myself with that, plus Monday's scan is at 9am so I'll basically wake up and go, minimal time to stand around being stressy. eBaying and financial planning tomorrow will be a great distraction! Usually when I'm anxious and stressed I buy random clothes or makeup to fill the void, so this has certainly been an interesting test on myself.

Also spoke to my consultant yesterday, and whilst she murdered any big ideas I had about returning to work after the baby is here, the various teams will support me in getting into a college course or similar next Sept/Jan. So relieved to know they don't expect me to just vegetate, as I've taken to being signed off work like concrete shoes in a lake.DEBT: £0/£2235 (0%)

Also if you were in Scotland you get a baby box which is filled with things for a new baby. How is a bedside cot not a proper place for the baby to sleep in? Maybe borrow a crib lol!
Anyway a cot bed can be a good investment. My daughter stayed in her toddler sized bed until she was 4? She was small though.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉0 -
And number 4 basically slept in with us. He was a little sod though :rotfl: he broke me. If he had come first I possibly would have stopped at 1!!!
Sounds like you have some plans coming together for the future which can only be good.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉0 -

I'm not generally her biggest fan, but it's hard because pushing back does look bad on me, and I want to have a squeaky clean record with them. She was supposed to ask my GP to prescribe some anti-sickness medications for me, which she didn't do, and send a referral for me, which she also didn't do, so not overly impressed with her. My experience of midwives so far is they are either amazing and so so understanding, or completely crap :rotfl:DEBT: £0/£2235 (0%)

I wish I had someone to borrow a cot from!!! Unfortunately the last babies born in my family were about 14-15 years ago, so hand me downs are very limited. Friends wise their children are either approaching 10, or they have none, it's very selfish of them to not plan their babies around me :rotfl: This baby seems to be awake from 10pm until around 9am so I think the time spent actually using a cot will be almost nothing anyway!DEBT: £0/£2235 (0%)
