If flying with Delta airlines, 1 carry luggage (small wheeled trolley) and a racksack,
can you recommend a racksack, which is a good size, that you have preferably purchased and used for traveling abroad.
Not a huge camping one, but not too small either..
can you recommend one,
and what size are they usually comfortable with maximum, that you can carry on your back?

So, assuming your small wheeled trolley meets the size restrictions for carry on, the rucksack will be your personal item and must fit under the seat in front of you (reducing the space for your feet) so that really restricts the size.
Delta’s baggage page states that any bag of a similar size to a briefcase/camera bag is acceptable, so I’d look for something soft/‘squishy’ around 10l capacity. If your personal item is oversized you may have to check your wheeled bag into the hold (which you may be charged for).

To be honest any "small" bag, think school backpack, will do as a personal item, have a look at day bags, something that you can use while site seeing at your destination.
Personally I use a small folding backpack, this is just what I searched from on amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=folding+backpack&ref=nb_sb_noss_2 you don't want it to look too big or they may not let you have that and your wheeled suitcase on the plane. I also use a shoulder handbag (instead of the backpack) that is big enough for my Ipad, passport, wallet and water bottle. Thanks to money saving tips and debt repayments/becoming debt free I have been able to work and travel for the last 4 years visiting 12 countries and working within 3 of them. Currently living and working in Canada  :dance:0
