Boiler water pressure drop

What is 2bar with of leak like small or big in volume?
2 bar in 24 hours is quite a bit in my opinion. You could try a tube of Fernox leak sealer, it can work well with pinholes and very small leaks, nothing to lose except £20 for the cost of it. You add it into a radiator and let it circulate, I would give it a week to see if it actually works.0 -
It confuses me after this weekends test
The system regulator in the loft read nothing after 24h is that reliable?,
The boiler now reads 1.3bar and 1.8 when it fires up. All still. Closed off so over 2 days the boilers dropped 0.2 bar I might keep. It off for a 3rd night to see what the boiler reads then. I fear when I keep. Turning it on and off this could be Fdexting boiler as it teys to. Fire in.0 -
I wouldn't like think. It's the heat exchanger iy being 4 year old and a reputable boiler?,0

So tonight I opened the flow pipes the boiler was on 1.2 bar and the system gauge rose after I opened the boiler. Over the 3 days the syrem guage read nothing and the boiler was 0.3 bar lower. I may try the leak additive to see of its something in the system0

So I got around to draining the towel rad I topped it up with fernox f4 leak sealer re pressurised the system and bled the rad. That was 3 days ago and the system pressure is holding up great.
Still baffles me as I never did see any water leaks and I have no underground pipes hopefully this holds out fingers crossed0
