What can you say about a company without facing legal action?

You can post the video, but as you already admitted, it doesn't show anything.0

If you want a legal answer then consult a solicitor0

As you can't prove they are " dishonest" you shouldn't write that.
If someone called you dishonest online with no proof you wouldn't like it.0 -
Do you have insurance? If so use that.
If not, take a trip to the local scrapyard with your tool box and acquire one from them instead!0 -

Don't be ridiculous. People have zero hand skills these days.{Signature removed by Forum Team}0 -
But you say in one of your other posts that your car is only worth £500 so it cant be that imperative to get an exact paint match surely.0

You do understand why someone would be concerned about legal action against them don't you? I can't imagine anyone who would actually like that sort of thing. So while i don't really care if they see it or not (in that i wont be specifically putting it on there for them to see it as a public video), with it being on the internet there's every chance that they will see it so bearing that factor in mind and the fact that we live in a claim-culture, i would like to avoid the possibility of action against myself while still making the video public in as critical way as i can legally do.
Hope that explains it better for you.As you can't prove they are " dishonest" you shouldn't write that.

I could tell you i don't like you & you could react as though i've just killed your nearest and dearest.
You could call me a '#'#'###''#'#'#'# '#'#'#'#'#'# and i could say oh really? Got anything else or is that your best?
Though i do get your point.Blackbeard_of_Perranporth wrote: »Do you have insurance? If so use that.

But it's done and it's looking like i wont get anywhere. I've had to buy new glass as i couldn't drive with it as it was.
Regards a new unit i've had a look on eBay and the like. Trust me though, even if i had one in my hand for free right now, i've then got to remove the existing and fit the new and i have a knack for breaking things. Obviously i don't want to but just trust me on that. I nearly flooded my house just by removing and refitting a radiator :rotfl: I can have a go but it often results in saying "you know when you wish you hadn't bothered"But you say in one of your other posts that your car is only worth £500 so it cant be that imperative to get an exact paint match surely.
See, while i get the point you're trying to make, i don't agree with it or accept it. I know you're not alone in your viewpoint. Weirdly (to me at least) people seem to think that because something is 'only' worth £xyz (so in this case £500 approx) then 'it doesn't matter' ... for anything. Someone hits it, it doesn't matter, someone keys it - it doesn't matter, someone goes at it with a hammer - it doesn't matter "because it's only...".
I seem to be in the minority where i look after & take pride in my belongings, whatever they're worth, however old they are, however worthless they are to other people. Not just cars but anything. So it may just be a £500 who cares if it breaks kind of car to others but it's priceless to me. It runs fine and i don't like it looking damaged. The value is simply due to the age and mileage. It has however been maintained very regularly because like i say, i look after my belongings.
Many people get new or nearly new cars on finance. Personally i don't see the point in that but we're all individual and each to their own. I don't know if you're one of these but let's pretend you are - would you have two different shade wing mirrors on your nearly new car? Maybe you would but i'd doubt it. So if you wouldn't have it on your nearly new car then why on earth should i accept it on my "only £500" car which is priceless to me?
I shouldn't.0 -
So basically you are after free legal advice?0

The truth is always a defence to defamation, at least since it was made a statutory defence in 2013, replacing the common law defence of justification.
However, you should not take my word for it but consult a solicitor or barrister specializing in defamation law.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -

A little different. Some people are very sensitive. Some people aren't.

Like i said - why should i is point number 1.

Surely? Why surely?

Or to put it another way, if someone called you dishonest online, you may well get it removed. My point had nothing to do with sensitivity . Claiming a company isn't honest will give them ammunition to remove your post, Therefore self defeating .0
