How to stop nuisance phone calls

I have been receiving calls to my mobile from a unknown caller for the past three days which last only a couple of seconds and stop before I have time to answer the call the only thing I know about the caller is his/her tel number
How do I find out who the caller is and more important still how do I stop these nuisance calls . My mobile is not a smart phone

This sounds like an example of the Wangiri Scam. These calls are trying to tempt you to call back. Do not call back. The number is likely an expensive premium rate number or an expensive overseas call. Do not call back.0
