Hi,
I would like to look into switching from prepayment smart meter to regular monthly billing. Is this possible to do? While searching comparison sites it only shows me prices to switch from prepayment to prepayment.
Many thanks

Your under a cap at the moment, but I've noticed while British Gas have reduced their unit rate in prepayment they've increased their standing charge on gas by 6.757p a day and Electricity the reverse.
There is possible credit checks involved and it all comes down to financial position and theres also the credit report to protect its whats right for you/usage and if you can save however,I had great difficult reverting to prepayment mode on my smart meter once switched to credit, swiching supplier will revert the meter to credit mode in SMETS1 possibly in 2 and the situation will be assessed.
Here British Gas claim I can save £46.90 a year swiching to their Home Energy Fix Green but I'm not going to credit again bills they can quickly spiral the unit rate went up and with prepayment meters repairs are within four hours not off supply for day's like some with cheaper suppliers in credit mode, these gas meters tend to fail when winter bites outdoors.0
