i agree,i know it can cost up to £800 for just the engine on some cars (2nd hand) so a new engine supplied and fitted is tremendous value for money....work permit granted!0 -

I thought OP said later they just reconditioned the cylinder head and renewed the 16 valves. So while this is a labour and time intensive job, it isn't exactly a whole brand new engine fitted. Could have got a good condition scrap head quite cheaply probably, I don't know how much scrappies like to charge or if they prefer people to take the whole engine though.0
