You'd be better starting your own thread.
And maybe include the dates you're looking to travel too.0 -

Turned up in heavy walking boots and thick jeans, etc. Bag delivered after four days. Buying underwear, emergency prescription, t-shirts and eventually trousers and shoes all came to £702. Also I had to purchase a second suitcase to bring the stuff home in! All items washed and in the bag, ready for settlement and someone to collect them all.
I've just rejected EJ's offer of £25 /person/day (tot £150) as I'm asking for £702 + compensation for ruined 4 days. Bought as a package with insurance from Travel Republic. I'm dealing both with EJ and TR.
Has anyone had any experience of taking these people on as I'm determined not to lose on this. Been home a week and I'm still fuming.
Proformance, I hope your parents are OK.
Many thanks.
£700 seems a lot for four days; you know you are under a duty to minimise your expenditure to what is reasonable? Can you justify the purchases objectively? e.g. Did the hotel you were staying at have a dress code that meant you could not wear a tee shirt to dinner? Were the shoes you bought the cheapest available?
Packing important medication in your hold luggage seems imprudent unless it is was more that 100ml of liquid. If you take medication and need a lot of it, I would suggest you split it between your hand baggage and hold luggage so that you don't have a medical emergency when your baggage fails to arrive! The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0
