Shell Energy charges
My daughter has just moved house and phoned Shell Energy who supply to the new house and they gave her a quote and said that she had a 14 day cooling off period. She’s found a better deal with British Gas and has told Shell (within the 14 days) and they have said because the switch won’t go through for 14 days they are still going to charge her £30/ fuel for leaving. Is that right? Can they do that?

Easy way out of it, is to invoke your 14 days notice and move her tariff to their variable tariff (which has no exit fees).
Then the switch can proceed, and your daughter will not incur exit fees.0 -
Thanks! I’ll let you know how she gets on.0
