Nationwide Flex Regular Online Saver question

Hi, my Nationwide Flex Regular Online Saver is due to mature on 22 September and I got an email saying that the interest rate will go from 5% to much lower IR and the account will be converted to a Flex Online Saver acct.
• Your interest rate will change from 5.00% AER/gross p.a. (variable) to an interest rate ranging from 0.30% up to 0.50% AER/gross p.a. (variable) depending on the balance in your account. You can find out more about this in the summary box.
• Your account number and sort code will stay the same.
• Any regular payments you’ve set up will move across to this account.
This might be a silly question, but, once it matures, can I open another Flex Reg Online Saver to benefit from the 5% rate for another 12 months?

I think you'll find they pulled the account a while ago...maybe as far back as May this year?0

No longer available.
I am pretty sure the last date one could be opened was 5th April 2019, which is when I subscribed.0 -
Oh dear OK, so I need to look into other accounts... thanks all.0

First Direct, HSBC & M&S all have regular savers paying 5%. All require current account and there may be 'hoops' to jump through, but regularly offer switch incentives.
Or Virgin Money 3% RS, branch application.

Thanks, ideally I don't want any more current accounts so I'll check out the Virgin one.0
