Conservatory and EPC square surface

    Looking at it, I don't think it is a "conservatory". Seems to be decent domestic uPVC units a lot like normal windows/doors, and proper walls. So it's just down to the roof - and they can be insulated enough to count.

    OK in that case I have a 30m2 'extension,' though I told the building control officer it was a conservatory and he appeared to agree. He didn't inspect it.

    Its windows and doors are domestic units, the walls are insulated as well or better than the house and the floor has 100mm of Celotex under it, but the roof is similar to the one in the picture, except it has heat reflective glass.


    I still think it's a conservatory.

    I'll stick with conservatory until it's been there 4 years. As we have other extensions, it would need planning permission to be part of the house.;)
