Thanks HARAS_NOSIRRAH.
You have been very helpful.
I guess at this stage the best thing to do is just wait for the hearing and take it up from there.
If worse we'd just have to push it back another year and look into it again.0 -
I use barclays a lot as I do a lot of affordable housing
I don't have much trouble with them but if it goes wrong it goes very very wrongI am a Mortgage Adviser

ACG - Why do you dislike Barclays so much? Keen to know as my broker wants to place us with them. other option is Precise.
Strange case if your 2 options are Barclays or Precise.
Barclays offer some of the best 5 year rates on the market at the moment and i do alot of prime business so I do use them a fair amount. Its a complete gamble if it is going to go well or not.
They have a very slick IT system that looks lovely but occasionally it will throw an error out that no one knows how to fix. I had a case where they couldnt process as a CoT at exchange time and took them about 2 weeks to fix it. Another where they did an automated valuation but 8 weeks down the line changed their mind and said this was an error. Another where they spent 6 weeks trying to do ID checks but couldn't get their system to move to the next stage.
They can also have cases that do automated valuations and automated income verification and go straight to offer as soon as the application button is pressed.
But when it goes wrong, we are completely helpless cause it is usually IT based and even they dont know how to fix it0 -
Slick IT system? Barclays? Are you sure? Did they get rid of MAX?
Barclays or Precise is like a Rock and a hard place, there is no good answer. I will go and find another rusty nail for the other eye I think.
I think this could be placed, but I think it is going to be with a manual underwriting lender who will issue an offer with a condition that the CCJ is set aside. I would be inclined to take the company who issued the CCJ to court for your additional costs if you win the case.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Yeah, MAX went a year or 2 ago . Although still around for BTL cases. The new system is decent and fairly intuitive (probably on par with Nationwide). No longer have to type the same address out a thousand times with the shiny new system :-)
It is a bit of fun when on to the support team to fix a problem and they say 'I think i know how to fix this but you will need to go in to MAX to try to fix it'. I start looking for a new lender while im on hold at that point usually0 -
Thanks ACG.
Yes we have considered legal action against the company.
They have been very helpful in the process so far and are willing to compensate us for any financial loss we suffer due to this.
In all fairness the first parking notice was sent just 2 days after my partner moved out of that address so i guess they just assumed she was still there and never bothered to respond to them.0 -
oooo, shows how long ago I last used them.
See that is another problem of theirs which I can potentially live with but their support teams are horrendous. It is like they follow a script and can not deviate from it, I may as well be talking to a chat bot thing.
As bad as it sounds, they are fine if you speak to someone in Britain but you never do/did in the first instance you had to bang your head on the wall for a few hours first.
If MAX has gone, I may take a look at them again.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Notices will be sent to the registered address for the keeper of the vehicle. No mail redirection in place?0
