Use multiple browsers question

For ages, I've always used one browser on each of my laptop, tablet and phone, which has been Google chrome. Of late, I've been trying out other browsers, not as a replacement, more as an extra, this means that if I notice a website continually appears sluggish using chrome, I'm able to try another and its surprising how loading times vary.
I wondered if anyone else does this.

You can install other browser apps from the Play store ... you're not restricted to Chrome. (AFAIK - don't have a Chromebook, but as it's basically Android then the browser type isn't restricted).0 -
As I work in website design, I have all major browsers installed for testing.
When I used to do that I also did the same ... even using VMs and mobile emulators to run older/other browsers to make sure the pages looked right in as many devices as possible. (Once you've got your master template right then you don't need to check every single page).0 -

Heh, the days of having to bodge website design code for Netscape 4 because it had unique quirks. Internet Explorer wasn't much better in that regard either in all honesty because IIRC if you bodged it for one browser it didn't work properly in the other... Great fun...0 -
