ppi reclaim

i have recently reclaimed from my PPIs successfully through a claiming company. One of my lenders were a company called OCEAN FINANCE I was informed by the claimant company that this company had gone into liquidation and they could not retrieve any PPI. Since this conversation I have found out that the companies brand was acquired by Think Money Group in 2012 and launched in 2014 the Ocean credit card in conjunction with Capital One.
Can anyone advise me on this type of situation and why can't the ppi claimers not retrieve any monies owning through this other company. thank you

Basically it has no liability.

There is no "situation".
